What are some good optics brands besides Zalex B-20 binoculars and where can I get them online?

I want to get someone a set of binoculars for birthday, he uses them for hunting. I only want to spend about 100 dollars on them, anyone have any advice about brand or type or something? I’m thinking either Gander Mountain or Fleet Farm?

What manufacturer would you recommend if I would like to buy binoculars?

I want to have binoculars to view the stars. Or would it be better to have a telescope instead? I’m just a beginner and would there be a telescope or binoculars less than $100 or 200?

I will disagree with some of the answers so far. Binoculars are a great tool for astronomy, especially for a beginner. Binoculars have a wide field of view, which makes it easier to learn your way around the sky. In terms of cost, you can collect a lot of light with binoculars less than $100. Celestron makes good astronomy binoculars. For $80, you can get a pair of 15×70s — 15X magnification, and a 70mm aperture (bigger aperture = more light collection). For comparison, beginner telescopes are often 50-60mm aperture. With your binocs, you can observe stars, planets, and even see fuzzy deep sky objects like nebulae and galaxies.

In the beginner tier, you get more bang for your buck with binocs. If you find yourself getting very serious about astronomy, you can invest in a better telescope down the line.

My friend’s birthday is fast approaching and he has always been interested in space. If you could suggest a pair of space-focused binoculars, it would be greatly appreciated.

I have a pair of Orion Scenix, which is the less expensive pair linked by Geoff.

But my favorite binoculars are Orion Mini Giant 9×63. The view is not quite so wide as with the Scenix, but it shows you dimmer stars. A few nights ago, I was looking at the Andromeda Galaxy, then I started scanning stars a little away from there and noticed a fuzzy area. I thought I found a comet! But it turned out to be just another galaxy, the one in Triangulum.

how to adjust binoculars that are misaligned due to knocks and drops.

i have searched and could not find a site anywhere. see how hidden screws can fix your misaligned binoculars for free!!!

‘The world’s largest single telescope is being set up atop Mount Graham in Arizona at an elevation of 3,190 meters. This revolutionary instrument, called the Large Binocular Telescope (LBT), is equipped with two light-collecting mirrors of 8.4 meters in diameter which can both be directed at a distant celestial body simultaneously, similar to a pair of binoculars. i am considering a good set of binoculars for my husband, What should I look for?

I do not want to spend too much money <$200 for a set of binoculars but do not want to skimp on quality and resolution, what are your recommendations? My husband is a hunter, would a rangefinder be beneficial?

Price will hold you back on some top quality gear. Nikon does make some low end optics
